October 7, 2011! Student Leadership has facilitated the donation of 61 pints of blood with this drive, 87 people signed in and 33 were first time donors. 183 lives were potentially saved through this drive.
The next Blood drive will be sponsored again in the winter. Mark your calendars for February 24th and consider donating the gift of life.

7th Annual Quiz Bowl
2012
The 7th Annual Quiz Bowl Competition took place last night, and featured TWO separate rounds of Double-Overtime to determine the winners. Eventually, the team "Meta," consisting of David "Bearclaw"
Tamburello, Jordan Davis, Jonny Pugh, and Mitchell Bush

topped the Cronick and Southerton double-team "Girl Power +1 Boy" in the final.
The boys will receive $220 for winning this year's event. Congratulations!

Every Fall the Women's Club sponsors a student council sophomore
member for the HOBY Leadership Camp. Last year the award was given
to Jenna Stacy & Claire Timmer
as alternate for MYLead Leadership Camp.
This year's award brunch will be on November 8th.

CHS Student Council hosts fourth annual "Fright Night" to raise money for a charity. This year "Fright Night profits will be donated to the "Kid's Food Basket of Grand Rapids". It was a great turnout and a lot fun for the whole community. Besides the scary haunted forest, there were concessions, pumpkin decorating, cookie decorating and prizes for kids.
This year approximately $750 will be donated to "Kid's Food basket of Grand Rapids" Thanks for all those who attended to help us raise funs for this cause!
